hydrating but disappointed with results Oct 26, 2011

The SkinMedica TNS Ceramide Treatment Cream is a ceramide-rich treatment that is supposed to assist post-procedure skin, help to promote epithelialization, and rapidly restore skin's barrier and moisture balance.

I purchased this item because my skin is so dry and dehydrated that I was scaly with dry skin flakes everywhere. Initially this treatment worked, my skin did not burn when I applied the cream, redness reduced, and my skin felt hydrated. After a month of use, I began to notice that my pores were clogged and my acne began to look cystic. Once I stopped using this product my skin returned to normal after a few months.

I would not recommend this product for anyone with acne but it might be a good choice for someone with dry skin.

I have had excellent and FAST results from this product. I had initially received a sample from the place where I get facials but found it less expensive here. I generally break out very easily from products, I am 40 and need something more moisturizing than 'oil free' products. So far (one month) the SkinMedica TNS Ceramide Treatment Cream has been a big winner by softening my skin, reducing the look of pores, and just generally helping me look more dewy and fresh. I highly recommend giving it a try.

Had a laser skin procedure and found this cream healing and comforting. Was more costly when purchased from my doctor's office. Still very costly but glad I had it after my laser treatment.

I have been using this product for approx. 3 weeks and have really not seen any change in my skin. I purchased this as I had read a review from a dermatologist stating the benefits of ceramide creams on older skin. I am 54 years old and have fine lines around the eyes. I am going to continue using the product until it is gone.......However, I don't know if I will repurchase. The price was actually pretty good, but if the product doesn't deliver, I won't repurchase.
