It is then sterling plated, and then they are lightly antiqued to show the detail. The finish is both beautiful and permanent. The charm is on an 18? solid brass necklace that is plated with a lacquer finish to give them an elegant finish that is also permanent.

Charm is great. My daughter loves it. Chain broke first thing. We put it on a better chain, so we won't loose it.
