I look 10 years younger! Feb 26, 2009

I'm 58 and have been plagued by dark circles after a series of sinus infections. I am a beauty product junkie, so I tried many products such as Lancome, Clinique and Philosophy. This not only reduces the darkness, it decreases the fine lines and the illumination factor makes me look younger. I no longer use concealer, except on special occasions. Not greasy and absorbs quickly.

Definity is Definitely an OMG product! Dec 10, 2007

I've never felt compelled to write in a review of a face product. Most are ho hum, some don't deliver at all. For years I accepted dark under eye circles. I thought they were inherited or a sign of overworking but I never really thought there was a product that would do anything about them. I tried Olay's "Definity" on a lark. I was in the section looking for my Aveeno products when I spotted it. It is pricey but it is the first product I've seen that promised what I needed--brighter eyes, lessened dark circles, reduced puffiness (a bonus for allergy sufferers) so I tried it. It is supposed to take a while. I've been using it for about 6 days and already it is actually brightening up my eyes! It is working from the lower lid downward. Every single day there is a wider area of brightness, where there only use to be dark circles. I am absolutely amazed by this product. If it worked for me it will most likely work for you if you have the same issues with the dark circles. I highly and I do mean highly recommend this product!

Big bang for the buck Apr 05, 2009

I've been very happy with this eye treatment. I've had no eye irritation and can see results in the form of diminished lines and circles. I've used a small dab twice a day around each eye for 6 months and still have about 1/5th of product remaining. I was concerned at first that such a small container wouldn't last long, but am happy to say that those fears have been proven groundless. I also use the night cream, foaming moisturizer, cream cleanser, and mousse cleanser from the Definity line and am pleased with the results from all. I prefer the mousse cleanser to the cream, but find that the cream cleanser tends to last longer.

I love Olay products! Sep 09, 2008
By K. King I have been using Olay's Regenerist and Definity products for over two years now. I am 55 and am getting compliments on my skin that I haven't had since I was a teenager. My skin has never felt so smooth and soft as it does now. I even had my husband feel my skin, I was that amazed. I recently bought the Olay Definity Eye treatment at one of Amazon's vendors, the price point was excellent. I have had no complaints about any of Olay's products until now. I like the results of the eye treatment, but if I apply it very soon after I wash my face, it stings. I have had other eye treatments from the Regenerist line, and it didn't do that. Other than the stinging after I wash my skin, I love Olay!

Glucosamine fights sun damage - Ineffective against hereditary dark circles Apr 04, 2010
By S. Harrison Conventional wisdom has taught us over the years to never, ever, put frosted or iridescent products on skin that is no longer youthful. No glittery powder, no shimmery eyeshadow is ever going to look good on skin that has fine lines or wrinkles. You know it, I know it - it's just a fact of life.
Imagine my surprise, then, when I visited the "Olay for You" skin assessment and product recommendation website, and the Definity line of products was recommended to me based on my age (not young) and general skin condition (also not young). Definity's claim to fame is based on its "illuminators." This stuff is supposed to yield "luminous, more flawless skin that appears lit from within." OK....
I have been using Regenerist serum, and I like it. So based on the website information, I decided to try the Olay Definity Eye Treatment. I really wanted to like it too, I really did.
After using it for a month, I was not impressed. I have hereditary dark circles, which are notoriously hard to vanquish. The product has not helped at all to diminish the discoloration.
Olay says that glucosamine is supposed to diminish dark circles. Does it? I looked it up. The American Academy of Dermatology says that, "a recent study shows that glucosamine could prove to be an effective topical treatment to reverse the effects of skin cells damaged by UV exposure." (Translation: Glucosamine is effective for treating sun damage.)
Furthermore, the Academy stated, "topical application of the supplement can normalize pigment overproduction in skin cells, something which is normally due to UV exposure." (Translation: Glucosamine is effective in treating age spots caused by sun exposure.)
In other words, this stuff is not going to do a darn thing for hereditary dark circles.
And as for the illuminators? As one other reviewer stated, it's just micro-glitter, in the form of finely pulverized mica. That's the same stuff used in some kinds of frosted lipstick. Frosted lipstick shows every little line on your lips. Frosted eye cream... well, you can figure it out.
In the mean time, I think I'll use what's left in the container as a night cream for the backs of my hands.
