5It just keeps working  Aug 02, 2009
By Tom O
That's what a fan should do, keep working. I have it on my desk at work running 24/7 for about a year now. Lasko fans are also quieter than many others, it does not disturb conversations, in fact I usually forget it is running.

4Great little bedside or cubicle fan  Nov 21, 2007
By Robert A. "geek"
Great little fan that is small enough for a bedside but powerful enough that you'll want to turn it down to low most of the time. This little guy pushes around a surprising amount of air -- easily besting Duracraft and Honeywell models that are larger. Nice little touch is the small cup area on the base -- perfect for little things in the cubical world (paper clips, etc) or bedside (ear plugs, nail clippers, etc).

Very quiet, little or no air whoosh but the motor does make a somewhat higher-pitched low noise on either speed.

5Very nice little fan  Feb 02, 2008
By Hung Lee
I bought this fan for a month now. This fan works really well to cool down my notebook computer and external hard drive (I use speed 1, never use speed 2). About the noise, I put it right next to my laptop, so I know it is running but it does not bother me at ALL. I also like the design of the fan. The motor is cover with smooth hard pastic unlike those cheap pastic. Overall, I really recommend this fan to everyone.

Rating:
Noise- 1 out of 10 (low noise)
Design- 9 out of 10 (excellent design, not the best)
Cooling- 8 of 10 (cool enough on speed 1)

I bought this for a friend who is going through "the change"! She has it on her desk at work and is very pleased with it.

4small, quite, not very sturdy  Jul 30, 2009
By Daniel S. Dunnam
This is a small plastic fan. It's not sturdy, and in fact the first one I received was broken in shipping. Amazon promptly replaced it and the second one arrived intact. A fall off a table popped the front off, but didn't break it so I was able to snap it back on. It's not the most attractive fan either. But it's pretty quite, and nice and small, so you can put it most anywhere. All in all, it's pretty good, and what I needed. It does not oscillate, which is fine with me.
