We've had programmable thermostats for years, so we are familiar with the features that we like and what we use. This one went a step further with the HOME mode. Older thermostats that we had needed to readjusted every time it went into the next time phase if it was not a desirable temperature while we were not at work. The filter alert is also great and being able to check hours that it's been running helps us see where we need to tweak our temperatures a bit to lower our usage. Very easy to use. Husband connected it in no time with little effort. Instructions are easy to follow. Would definitely buy again

I purchases this thermostat when they had a sale back a few months ago, and the unit is doing good. I just use the energy savings defaults and it keeps me cool enough during the summer months and I would recommend this unit to all.
The nice thing about the unit is you can remove it off the back plate so you can sit down and program the unit while sitting down.

This is the second one I've owned. Unfortunately, the first one died after about three years. But I liked the old one enough to buy an exact replacement. That's about as good an endorsement as I can think of.
The default program features an energy efficient schedule that keeps the house temps moderate during the day while you're gone and then turns on the AC/heat in time to make the house comfortable when you get home.
The installation is extremely simple.
The daily use isn't quite as simple if you want to override the set program. You can bump the temp up or down without too much trouble, but cancelling the override isn't quite as intuitive. Also, making your override "stick" doesn't always seem to work for us. For example, we don't usually sleep with the AC on unless it's too hot to open the windows. So in those cases, we close the windows and override the program to drop the temps. That's fine at bedtime, but then in the middle of the night when the program switches to the next time unit, the override expires and the house heats up. It's not impossible to prevent that, but it's nearly impossible for my pea-brain to remember how to do it without re-reading the manual.
All in all, this controller is great for my household and has saved my family a ton of $$$ during the hot seasons when we have to use the AC.

I'm sure the functionality of this thermostat is excellent (I owned the older model of the same thermostat in my last house) however, I had to return it. I was so large 6"x5" that my wife and I felt it would become somewhat of an eyesore. Make sure you measure the area where you plan to put this thermostat as it is much larger than most.

Very easy to install and program. Replaced an old-school thermostat to reduce heating and cooling costs.
