Easy to read Nov 19, 2009
By soulanchor We've had one of these rain gauges for many years. It has survived many a harsh, Minnesota winter, being stored in an outdoor shed. During the "non-snowy" days, it is attached to our clothesline pole, 25-30 feet from our window. We could read this gauge even from further away, the markings are so big, and the orange floater is so easy to see. If our current gauge ever kicks the bucket, I'll be buying the very same.

Uniquely functional Oct 18, 2009
By M. Peterson The best part of this rain gauge is the orange floating marker! It is a very functional rain gauge. We live in Florida, so I'm concerned that the plastic will harden and crack, giving it a short life span, but I will enthusiastically replace it with another. The advertising was a bit misleading as while it is 20 inches high, I was looking for a rain gauge that held more than 5 inches of water...so I thought it was marked for 20 inches. Here in Florida we have downpours that can give us more than 5 inches in a 24-hour period!

AWESOME RAIN GAUGE Nov 30, 2008
By D. Hull I have had this rain gauge for years. It might not be the most accurate, but as far as getting down to the 1/4 or 1/8 inch, it's great. I mounted it on our deck railing and I can easily read it from inside the house - no going outside to try to figure out how much rain we've had. Digitals ones are incredibly accurate, but this one will last and last and is a great purchase for anyone.

come on rain Apr 17, 2010
By Terrie A. Stoufer Just what my farmer husband needed. Right size and big enough print for him to read accurately.

Esay Read Rain Guage Jul 11, 2010
By Brad Wieland Having owned this type of rain guage for over 15 years (one guage), it failed because I forgot to enpty it before a freeze which ruined the old one. The new one is almost the exact same design, with a minor change in the mounting bracket. I am expecting a similar long life out this one. I mounted it approximately 10 feet from the backdoor and can easily read it from inside, without my glasses. I like the style, ease of use and the ease of reading the rain level. Wonderful product!
