I ordered this product for a replacement to one that I had been using for a couple of years that worked really well for cutting styrofoam. The new one that I received doesn't work at all. Very disappointed with this product!

I purchased it for my mother who does lots of arts and crafts. She fell in love with it next she is going to purchase the one with a platform it melts styrofoam to crate one of a kind designs. One downfall u have to take battery's out after use caaue button is loose and can say on when not in use killing the battery

I recently purchased this FloraCraft Styrofoam Cutter from Michaels (local craft store) for my son's school project and was so frustrated by this tool! It heats up only some of the time and then when it does, it shuts off by itself during the middle of making cuts. It's not worth buying! Look for other brands with better reviews! Will be returning this one back to the store!

Used it to cut foam for my gun case. Very soft foam. Worked very well for the first cut. Set it down, ate lunch and when I tried to use it again, it wouldn't get hot and cut any more foam. Made in China. Enough said.

I bought some of these for a school project. Every third unit works. Somehow the factory in China screwed up the basic flashlight switch design that we have used for many years. Don't buy one of these, get the other brand with the yellow handle and the trigger.
