Boost your clothes dryer! Feb 12, 2008
By C. Willhite If your clothes dryer doesn't seem to dry properly, check the ventilation run. Most dryers are meant to be vented along a fairly short run, and if they aren't your performance will go down the tubes. Our dryer took 2 cycles to dry a medium-sized load of laundry. While trying to figure out why, we realized that not only was our duct run too long (be several feet) but we also had three turns. This is enough to kill performance (doesn't dry in one cycle, excessive lint build-up). We ordered and installed the Fantech Booster fan and the secondary lint trap and it's like having a new dryer! I would strongly suggest purchasing the secondary lint trap at the same time as the booster fan, to save on lint going through the fan itself. A nice feature of the fan is the auto-sensing on/off. It starts when the dryer starts and runs in 10-minute cycles (then continuing to run if the dryer is still running). The cycling keeps it from running after the dryer finishes.
Goodbye fire-hazard lint build-up, and hello lower electric bills!

Dust Reducing, Life-changing product! Jan 07, 2008
By S. Pardew

This product has changed our life! It has reduced the dust produced by our dryer duct greatly. Our dryer duct empties out on the top of our house, about 20' above the dryer. It was constantly clogged. We purchased the fan booster and had it professionally installed. It turns on and off automatically when the dryer is turned on and off. No more dust, dryer works faster, it is a great purchase.

Works GREAT but beware.... Oct 24, 2008
By David M. Byrne The product works as advertised. After installation it cut my drying time from 2-3 hours to around 40 minutes. Unfortunately, when we have a windy day(which is often in Oklahoma) the fan turns on because it thinks the dryer is running. I emailed the manufacturer but haven't received a response. Kinda wish I had bought one which is operated with a wall switch.

Solved all our dryer vent issues. The laundry room is no longer full of dust and heat and the dryer vent is no longer a fire hazard. Highly recommend this product!

Excellent Product Dec 29, 2008
By R. Hartounian In my case it was very easy to install. It now takes 1/6 of the time it took to dry a load. And I installed it at under 20 feet and it works fine. Google for the best price. I paid half of what it is sold here and it arrived in 2 days. Very highly recommended. Another option is another brand where the motor is on the side and dust doesn't accumulate indie the motor housing, but that needs more room to install.
