I am 47 years old female. I've been using Avene Retrinal .1 1oz at night for the last three months. I have had fine lines around mouth, eyes, and forehead disappear. Deep forehead frown and smile lines have plumped and become less noticeable. Plus sun damage and pigment discolorations on my face have lightened considerably. I haven't had any problems with skin irritation.
I think I look at least 5 years younger than when I started three months ago. I went to my husband's 20 year high school reunion last week. Someone there told me that I looked "Great!" "Just like I did in high school!" I won't comment on that, but I will say that I feel really good about how my skin looks. I don't wear foundation anymore and hardly need any make-up. I believe if I continue using the products I am that the condition of my skin will continue to improve. I am also using Avene Retrinal H.A.F. at night. I apply it directly to wrinkles and lines.
I use a sunscreen during the day so I won't reverse my skin's youthful recovery. I also use a peptide/antioxidant product in the morning along with the sunscreen. I exfoliate a couple of times a week as well. I feel all these things contribute to my skin's improved appearance and are a necessary part of my skin rejuvenation regime.

My dermatologist first introduced me to this product (at a much higher price)! It truly helps reduce signs of aging without use of abrasive scrubs or peels. The cream goes on smoothly and has a moisturing effect. My skin is extremely dry, so I do experience skin flaking the next morning. CAUTION: This product will leave a yellow stain on light colored fabric!

You will notice an appreciable difference in your skin with this cream. It's in many ways better than traditional Retin creams because it's less harsh but still renews.

When surfing the line for AVENE RETRINAL+ 0.1 cream I was happy to see a multitude of positive comments, amazed to see how many had been advised to use it by their dermatologists, and pleased to find so many in different age groups using it.
Some had begun because their skin couldn't tolerate Retin-A, others with delicate or sensitive skin loved it because they had noticed a definite improvement in their appearance without any harsh peeling or redness. Many had experienced adverse reactions to exfoliators and were delighted to find a product that was effective without damage.
One sweet lady who said she was 67 years of age never thought she could do anything about her fine lines and wrinkles short of surgery - she couldn't express how delighted she was with the results from this cream.
Lovely to know that while sleep is refreshing your mind and body AVENE RETRINAL+ 0.1 is renewing your skin.

Good cream short of prescription strength Feb 20, 2012

This is probably the best retin-based cream for the face short of getting prescription strength retin A. It definitely softens the skin after a night time of use and the lines diminish a little. It doesn't produce dramatic results but I keep going back to this cream, although I'm not sure how much better this is compared to Neutrogena's Healthy Skin Anti-wrinkle cream. I use this only on my face, mostly around my eyes, and even though the tube is small, it lasts me a few months, although I have to say that I don't remember to use it every night.
