Great Trimmer Overall Oct 12, 2009

I wanted to give this trimmer 5 stars, as it's easily the best trimmer I've ever used, of any kind. The titanium blade cuts right through photos, and the photo is held in place so it can't move - something that seems like common sense but is sadly lacking in most other trimmers.
The reason I gave it 4 stars is - like most other trimmers - there is a lack of a sufficient edge near the cutting side to align and keep the paper straight. Instead, the right side of the trimmer has a TINY little guide, so it's hard to get the paper exactly straight before it's cut. Since this is a common problem with every trimmer I've used, I assume the manufacturers feel that close to straight is good enough for most people; maybe it is. For me however, close is not good enough, as I sell the photos and need a very straight edge.
That said, I would recommend this trimmer, as it's far better than the competition and at less than $20 including shipping, an affordable price. The trimmer comes with a 15 year warranty.

After using this trimmer a lot, I have to say I am dissappointed with the durability of the titanium blades. Although they probably stay sharp longer than a normal blade, it's not nearly as long as I expected from the description.

Barely works, damages paper. Dec 04, 2009
By Aleksey Even when cutting a single piece of paper, it tends to stick and tear paper instead of cutting it. Only very steady and somewhat rapid movement of the blade has a somewhat reasonable *chance* of producing a proper cut. And this is with a brand new trimmer - where the blade is presumably very sharp - how would it work after the blade becomes a little dull???
